A Better Puppers

First thing's first, let's get the excercise facts straight.

Two walks a day is the recommended frequency, but one longer walk will do in a pinch.
Throwing a ball in a field, while fun, doesn't count as exercise.
It's as much about burning off mental energy as it is about physical.
Properly excercised dogs are not only healthier but better behaved.
Pretty much all behavioural issues can be mitigated by proper excercise, if not cured entirely.
Dogs sleep for approximately 16 hours a day, too much rest between walks leads to excess energy build up.
On-leash walking is absolutely better than free-roaming.

We, like most people, tried to get our dogs out everyday. Nowadays we've removed the 'tried' from that statement. They go out EVERYDAY. Rain, cold, dark, it doesn't matter. As long as they can be kept safe, they go. Alas, also like most people we were not only not walking them enough, we were walking them incorrectly.
